Sivmen B is a brilliant son of the legendary Russian stallion - Menes. His dam, Sivka is a daughter of National Champion - Strike. Sivka was a significant producer of winners both in the USA and in Europe. She is the dam of U.S. National Champion Western Pleasure Junior Horse - Septer, a full brother to Sivmen B. She is also the dam of BS Paparrazo (x KAR Pagano), a champion stallion in the Middle East!
Sivmen B was born in the Netherlands, where he had a successful career as a show horse and sire and was rated with the AVS as a STER/First Premium Stallion. His most notable son in Europe is European Gold Champion Ridden Stallion - AR Sivmayall (Deceased). In 2007, he was purchased Brent Stone of Enzo LTD as a outcross stallion for his program. After importation, he was shown at the Arabian Breeders World Cup which is where we first saw Sivmen B. Funnily enough he showed against the stallion who would later become our foundation stallion - Sol Debut in that very class. Sivmen was a huge mover with impressive bone, great feet and big eyes. His trot was full of power from back to front and he made an incredible impression upon us. He looked like he should - a beautiful blend of Menes and Strike - wrapped up on a gorgeous bay stallion. After years of trying to use him and never quite getting things in order, Brent was kind enough to let us purchase him so he could make a larger impact on our program. We imported Sivmen B to Canada when he was twenty-one years old - a long journey from California to New York and finally Ontario.
At twenty-two, he started his first Canadian season standing at Marlie Farm for us. He bred nine mares - among them, Purebred Arabians, Canadian, Welsh, Warmblood and Dutch Harness Horse mares - and from that nine mares he gifted Canada 5 fillies and 4 colts. Our program bred and owned 4 of those foals - all fillies - who we retained for our program. The three purebred fillies are the ONLY Purebred daughters of Sivmen B in North America and each of the three is a granddaughter of our original foundation mares. These fillies were a blessing so unexpected, we decided to keep them them ALL for our program.
In 2019, we bred two more mares to Sivmen B and made the very difficult decision to part with Sivmen himself. After standing at Marlie Farms since his importation, he had found a special home there which brought him immense happiness. So much so, we felt we could not take him from such a happy life and force yet another big change on him. We made the painful decision to sell Sivmen B to Mark and Leslie of Marlie Farms so he could continue to enjoy the happy life they had so beautifully crafted for him. We retained four daughters and yearly breeding rights to Sivmen B so the dream can continue and he can remain an integral part of our program. Sivmen B continues to stand to the public via live cover at Marlie Farm at the incredible age of twenty-five. We cannot recommend him enough as a stallion. As one of the very last sons of Menes, he is an incredible gift from days gone by that continues to give to the future.
